VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD PRESIDENT
Andrew Jackson possessed more than a hundred enslaved humans whom he exploited to build his fortune. He even brought several of his involuntary servants to the White House.
Jackson disciplined his slaves harshly—on one occasion personally administering a brutal public whipping to a woman he felt had been “putting on airs”. As president, he opposed policies that would have outlawed slavery in western territories as the United States expanded.
However, his cruelty was executed on mass scale in his role as the nation’s chief ethnic cleanser.
Jackson’s advocacy for and enforcement of the notorious Indian Removal Act led to the forced removal of nearly 50,000 forced to march the notorious Trail of Tears, opening the gates for a Caucasian invasion of 25 million acres of land that had been occupied by Native Americans for millennia.
